How to download nRF Connect and provide information?

Overview

nRF Connect is a mobile app that scans nearby Bluetooth devices. The scan results help our support and R&D teams understand your device’s Bluetooth connection status.

Before You Start

• Turn Bluetooth ON on your phone.
• Keep your Plaud device powered on and close to your phone (within 1–2 meters).
• If prompted, allow Bluetooth and Location permissions for nRF Connect (required for scanning on some phones).

How to Download nRF Connect

iPhone (iOS)

1. Open the App Store.
2. Search for “nRF Connect for Mobile”.

3. Tap Get to install.

   

Android

1. Open Google Play Store.
2. Search for “nRF Connect for Mobile”.

3. Tap Install.

   

How to Capture the Required Information

1. Open nRF Connect.
2. Go to the Scanner page (default screen).
3. Wait 10–15 seconds for devices to appear.
4. Pull down to refresh/scan again if needed.
5. Take a screenshot

If You Don’t See the List

Try the following and scan again:

• Toggle Bluetooth OFF → ON in your phone setting.
• Close and reopen nRF Connect, then scan again.

How to Send the Information to Support

Reply to your existing support email/ticket and attach the screenshot.
