Plaud Team plans are priced per seat, and Admins can adjust seat counts at any time from Workspace management. Added seats are charged immediately (prorated), while seat removals take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Before you start
- Only Admins can manage seats.
- Seat management is done from Plaud Web only — not the Plaud App.
- Plaud Team supports 2 to 50 seats via instant online setup. For more than 50 seats, please contact our sales team.
- Payment card updates go through the Stripe portal.
All steps in this article start from the same place: Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan → Manage Seats on Plaud Web. Navigation screenshots are provided in the How do I add seats? section below — they are not repeated in subsequent sections.
How do I add seats?
- Sign in to Plaud Web and go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan → Manage Seats. (Screenshots below show the navigation path — refer back here for all other sections in this article.)
- Increase the seat count and confirm.
- You are charged immediately for the additional seats, prorated for the remaining days in the current billing period.
- New seats become available right after payment is confirmed.
No upper cap applies within the self-service range — you can add any number of seats up to 50 total at any time.
How do I remove seats?
- Go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan → Manage Seats on Plaud Web (see navigation screenshots in the How do I add seats? section above).
- Reduce the seat count to your desired number.
- Confirm the change. The reduction is scheduled for the start of the next billing cycle — no immediate refund is issued for the remaining days.
Things to know before reducing seats:
- A minimum of 2 seats must be maintained at all times.
- If all your current seats are occupied, you must remove Members first before reducing the seat count. See Managing Plaud Team membership for Member removal steps.
- Pending reductions appear as "scheduled to take effect" on the Manage Seats page.
How do I cancel a scheduled seat reduction?
If you have scheduled a seat reduction but changed your mind:
- Go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan → Manage Seats on Plaud Web (see navigation screenshots in the How do I add seats? section above).
- Locate the entry showing "scheduled to take effect".
- Click Manage seats and select Cancel change to revert to your current seat count.
The cancellation must be done before the next billing cycle begins.
FAQ about seat management
Can I reduce seats immediately?
No. Seat reductions always take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. If you need immediate changes for special circumstances, submit a request.
Will I be refunded for removed seats?
No. The billing cycle you have already paid for continues to the end, and the lower seat count takes effect from the next cycle onward.
Can I add more than 50 seats?

What happens if I cannot reduce seats because they are all occupied?
You must remove the Member(s) first from Settings → Workspace management → Members & roles. See Can't reduce seat count for detailed troubleshooting.
