This FAQ covers how Admins manage their Plaud Team subscription — viewing billing details, adding or removing seats, switching billing cycles, and updating payment methods. All subscription management is done from the Workspace management on Plaud Web.
Before you start
All actions in this article take place in Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan on Plaud Web. To get there: sign in at Plaud Web, go to Settings, then select Billing & plan from the left menu.
How do I view and manage my billing?
In Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan on Plaud Web, you can view:
- Current plan name and subscription status
- Next payment date
- Number of subscribed seats, total price, and price per seat
- Payment method and card information (managed via Stripe portal)
- Payment history and invoice downloads
How do I add or remove seats?
Seat management is done from Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan → Manage Seats on Plaud Web. Added seats are charged immediately (prorated for the remaining period); seat reductions take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes, but the timing differs:
- Monthly → Annual (upgrade): Pay the price difference and the change takes effect immediately
- Annual → Monthly (downgrade): The change takes effect at the start of the next renewal cycle
⚠️ Important: Upgrade payments must be made in the same currency as your original purchase. If your billing currency has changed (e.g., due to relocation), contact support before upgrading.
Can I cancel a pending seat or plan change?
Yes. Any pending changes, such as a scheduled seat reduction or a billing cycle downgrade, can be cancelled before they go live. The billing management page clearly shows items in "scheduled to take effect" status.
How do I manage billing through Stripe?
The following tasks are handled in the Stripe billing portal — payment method updates, company billing information, and invoice downloads. To access the Stripe portal: go to Settings → Workspace management → Billing & plan and click Manage billing.
How do I update my payment method?
Update and save your new card details in the Stripe portal. The new card will be used for all future charges.
How do I update my company billing information?
In the Stripe portal, go to Billing information to update your billing name, email, address (country, postal code, city, etc.), and phone number. Updated information applies to future invoices only, not past ones.
How do I download invoices or view payment history?
Invoices are hosted by Stripe and accessible via a permanently valid Invoice URL. Click to download at any time.
