Can I merge my Plaud accounts?
Overview
This article explains what account consolidation options are available in Plaud, how to move your membership and data to a new account, and how device binding works across multiple accounts.
Can I merge two Plaud accounts?
No. Each Plaud account, whether personal or Team, is an independent unit. Merging two accounts or changing the email address registered to an account isn't supported.
If you want to consolidate to a single account, here's the recommended approach:
- Unbind your Plaud device from the current account. Any recordings that haven't transferred to the Plaud App will be deleted from the device at this step.
- Cancel the current account, then register a new account with your preferred email and bind your device to it.
- To carry over your remaining transcription minutes, submit a request and ask for an activation code. Redeem the code on the new account. Recordings and transcription files can't be migrated automatically.
Can I merge content from two workspaces?
There's no automated workspace merge tool. To consolidate manually:
- Choose the workspace you want to keep as your target.
- Invite Members from the other workspace to join the target workspace.
- Have those Members export their important recordings from the original workspace and re-upload them to the target workspace.
- Cancel the subscription for the workspace you're closing.
The cancelled workspace enters read-only mode at the end of its billing cycle. Existing content remains accessible for export until then.
Can I connect one Plaud device to multiple accounts?
Yes. A single Plaud device can be bound to more than one account, but it can only connect to one account at a time. To switch accounts, unbind the device from the current account first, then bind it to the new one.
