Overview
This article explains why the Plaud OAuth API returns only your 20 most recent recordings during the private beta, and what you can do if you need access to older recordings.
Why doesn't the Plaud API return all of my recordings?
During the private beta, the Plaud OAuth API intentionally returns only your 20 most recent recordings. This is a current beta limitation, not a bug or a sync error.
Here's what you'll see:
- A request for your recordings list returns up to 20 items, the most recent ones.
- Older recordings still exist in your account, but the API doesn't return them during the beta.
- This applies to all private-beta API accounts. It isn't specific to your integration.
The OAuth API is in private beta, and the API scope is still being finalized. During this period, the recording scope is limited by design to your 20 most recent files. We'll share updated documentation as the API moves toward public beta, and we don't have a confirmed timeline for when the scope will change.
How can I access my older recordings during the beta?
If you only need recent recordings, no action is needed. The API returns your 20 most recent recordings automatically.
If you need access to older recordings during the beta, email your use case to support@plaud.ai. We'll pass it to the API team and factor it into the rollout plan.
Will the 20-recording limit change?
The API scope is still being finalized during the private beta, and there's no confirmed timeline yet. We'll share updated documentation as the API moves toward public beta. Beta behavior may change without notice, and we'll update this article when the scope changes.
