This article explains why the Plaud OAuth API returns only your 20 most recent recordings, and what to use if you need access to your full recording history.

Why doesn't the Plaud API return all of my recordings?
The Plaud OAuth API intentionally returns only your 20 most recent recordings. This is a current limitation of the API, not a bug or a sync error.
Here's what you'll see:
- A request for your recordings list returns up to 20 items, the most recent ones.
- Older recordings still exist in your account, but the API doesn't return them.
- This applies to every account with API access. It isn't specific to your integration.
The recording scope is limited by design to your 20 most recent files. We don't have a confirmed timeline for when this will change.
How can I access my older recordings?
If you only need recent recordings, no action is needed. The API returns your 20 most recent recordings automatically.
If you need your full recording history, use Plaud MCP or Plaud CLI instead. Neither is subject to the 20-recording limit, both authenticate with your existing Plaud account, and Plaud MCP is currently free for all active Plaud accounts.

Will the 20-recording limit change?
There's no confirmed timeline. API behavior may change without notice, and we'll update this article if the scope changes.
