Plaud One firmware updates install over 4G from the Plaud Mobile App. This article explains how firmware updates work on Plaud One and how to make sure your device stays up to date.
What is a firmware update on Plaud One?
Firmware updates improve performance, fix known issues, and add support for new Plaud features. Updates are delivered over the charging case's 4G connection only, so Bluetooth can't carry them. You manage updates from the Plaud Mobile App: install them yourself from the Firmware screen, or turn on Auto-update overnight there and firmware updates install automatically while you sleep. Auto-update overnight is off by default.
Before you start
- Charge the case to 50% or more. A low battery can prevent the update from starting or finishing.
- Keep the earbuds in the case until the update completes. Recordings on the device are not affected by an update.
How to update the firmware?
- Make sure the charging case is connected to 4G. If the Mobile App shows a 4G error, submit a request and our support team will help.
- Open your Plaud One's settings in the Plaud Mobile App and tap Firmware under General. If an update is available, start it from there.
- Keep the earbuds in the case until the update finishes. The Status light shows a blue flowing light while the update is in progress.
