Summary points link back to the exact transcript segments behind them.
What is source tracing?
Summaries in the Plaud Mobile App include numbered citation markers. Each marker points to the transcript segments that support that summary point, so you can verify a decision, a number, or a quote in seconds. Not every point carries a marker; markers appear where a clear source in the transcript can be identified.
Before you start
- Markers are generated automatically with the summary.
How to trace a summary point?
- Tap a numbered marker in the summary. A Source panel opens from the bottom, showing the transcript segments that support that point, each with its timestamp and speaker.
- Tap View next to a segment to jump to that position in the full transcript.
FAQ about source tracing
Do markers stay if I edit the summary?
Markers stay when you edit other text, and you can delete individual markers in the editor if you don't want them.
Do citation markers appear when I share, copy, or export?
No. Markers are removed automatically from shared pages, copied text, and exported files, so your deliverables stay clean.
