Start recording from the Mobile App; your Plaud device captures the audio.

How to record in the Plaud Mobile App?
- On the home screen, tap the + button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Start recording.
- When you're done, tap Stop. The transcript and summary are then generated automatically. See Automatic transcription and summaries.
Note: Recording started from the Mobile App is captured by your connected Plaud device, not your phone's microphone. Make sure your device is connected before you start.
During the recording
Use the Type, Photo, and Highlight controls at the bottom of the recording panel to mark important moments. See Highlight a moment while recording for details.
FAQ about in-app recording
Can my device record without the Mobile App?
Yes. Press the record button on the device directly. No Mobile App connection is required, and the device records independently.
