Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Edit a summary.
How to edit a summary?
- Open the file and go to the summary.
- Tap anywhere in the text to start editing. A formatting toolbar appears above the keyboard with headings, text styles, lists, quotes, and undo/redo. Changes save automatically.
- You can delete citation markers in the editor if you don't want them.
Editing rules to know
- Edits save automatically and sync across the Plaud Mobile App and Plaud Web.
- While editing, you can undo and redo changes with the arrows in the formatting toolbar. After you exit, edits are saved and can't be undone.
- Regenerating a summary with the built-in Re-summarize is free (no Plaud Credits, no minutes), but it replaces your edited version. The Mobile App asks you to confirm first. Copy your edits somewhere safe if you want to keep them.
- Editing the summary doesn't change the transcript, and editing the transcript doesn't update an existing summary.
Renaming a file
Now, titles are generated automatically from the transcript and your linked calendar event. You can rename any file manually from the file's menu.
FAQ about summary editing
How do I get a second summary in a different style?
Generate with a different template. Regenerating with a different template is currently exempt from Plaud Credits. The result is saved as a new note, and your existing summary stays. See Summary templates.
