What are templates?
A template defines the format of a generated summary, such as a meeting recap, an interview report, or a sales call note. In the new Plaud Mobile App, you can browse templates in Tools, right next to Skills: the Tools page has Skills, Templates, and Connectors tabs, where you can browse My templates, browse by Category, or search.

How to find and save templates?
- Tap the menu button (☰) in the top-left corner of the home screen, then tap Tools.
- Switch to the Templates tab and find a template under My templates, browse by Category, or tap Search. Open a template and tap the star icon to save it to your favorites.
How to generate a summary with a template?
Open the recording and choose where the new summary goes:
- Replace the current summary: tap ⋯ > Regenerate > Summary only, then pick a template. See Re-generate a transcript or summary.
- Keep it and add another summary: tap + New note, then pick a template. See Multidimensional summaries.
Using a template uses no Plaud Credits or transcription minutes.
Template suggestions
On a recording's detail page, Plaud can suggest up to two templates that fit the content. Applying a suggestion creates a new note without replacing your existing summary.
FAQ about templates
Which template does Plaud use by default?
Automatic summaries use Intelligent generation, which reads the whole transcript and builds a structure that fits what was discussed. When you open the template picker, the template you chose last is preselected.
Do my existing templates carry over?
Yes. Your custom templates and collected templates move into the Templates tab in Tools (under My templates), and your community contributions stay available there.
