Recording from your computer is handled by Plaud Desktop.
How recording works on the Web
Plaud Web doesn't record audio in the browser. When you click + Add → Start recording, recording is carried out through the Plaud Desktop app: your browser shows an Open Plaud? prompt. Click Open Plaud and the Desktop app opens and handles the recording. (Tick "Always allow" in the prompt to skip this step next time.) If Plaud Desktop isn't installed, you'll be prompted to download it.
Recordings made through Plaud Desktop sync to your account, so they appear on the Web, the Mobile App, and Desktop.
Other ways to capture audio
- Record with your Plaud device, then sync. Recordings appear on the Web once synced.
- Import an existing file: see File import on Plaud Web.
