New users can try Plaud's annual Pro or annual Unlimited plan for free after binding their first device. Here's how long the trial lasts, who can get it, and how billing works when it ends.
Applies to: v4.0.x or later. Still using v3.30.x or earlier Plaud Mobile App? See Try before you buy.
What is the Plaud free trial?
After you bind a Plaud device to your account for the first time, you can try the annual Pro or annual Unlimited plan free for 7 days if you start the trial within 72 hours. During this window, the checkout screen shows 7-day free trial included with a countdown of the time left.
After 72 hours, the free trial lasts 3 days, and the checkout screen shows 3-day free trial included.
The same rules apply if you re-bind a device: re-binding within 72 hours gives you the 7-day trial. If you currently have no device bound to your account, only the 3-day trial is available.
How do I start a free trial?
- Plaud Mobile App: open the side menu and tap your profile at the top. On your membership page, tap Try Unlimited plan, choose an annual plan, and tap Start my free trial.
- Plaud Web: at the bottom of the left sidebar, click Upgrade to Unlimited, choose an annual plan, and click Start my free trial.
Who can get the free trial?
Each user can receive the free trial only once, and it is available for the annual Pro and annual Unlimited plans only. You aren't eligible for the free trial if any of the following applies:
- You have subscribed to a Pro or Unlimited plan before.
- You have redeemed an Unlimited plan activation code.
- You are currently on an Unlimited plan.
- Your subscription was purchased on the Plaud official website (plaud.ai).
How does billing work after the trial?

Yes. During the free trial, you can still change your subscription:
- Upgrading to a higher-tier plan takes effect immediately, and the free trial stops.
- Downgrading takes effect after the free trial ends.
For example, if you're on an annual Pro Plan free trial and subscribe to the annual Unlimited Plan, the annual Unlimited Plan takes effect immediately and the free trial stops. See Upgrade and downgrade rules — for v4.0.x or later.
