A Plaud workspace defines your billing and membership, the reach of admin controls, and the boundary of your data. Content created in one workspace stays there and never appears in another.
What types of workspaces are there?
Plaud supports two types of workspaces:
Personal workspace — The Personal workspace is owned entirely by the individual user. This is where your individual recordings, transcriptions, and notes are stored.
Team workspace — An organization can set up a Team workspace through a Plaud Team subscription. Team workspaces include centralized billing, member management, device visibility, and admin controls.
You can own a Personal workspace and belong to one or more Team workspaces at the same time. Your content in each workspace remains separate.
How do I switch between workspaces?
If you belong to more than one workspace — for example, a Personal workspace plus one or more Team workspaces — you can switch between them at any time.
⚠️ Switching ≠ binding. Your Plaud device records to whichever workspace it is bound to — switching the active workspace in the App only changes your view, not where new recordings are saved.
On Plaud App: Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, then your current workspace name at the top of the menu, and select another workspace.
On Plaud Web: Click your workspace name in the top-left of the sidebar and select another workspace.
How do I join a Team workspace?
Users can join a Plaud Team workspace by invitation from an Admin. If you do not have a Plaud account yet, you will need to create one as part of joining.

FAQ about workspaces
Can content move between workspaces automatically?
No. Content never moves between workspaces automatically. If you want to use a file from your Personal workspace in a Team workspace (or vice versa), you need to manually export and re-import it.
Can I belong to both a Personal and a Team workspace at the same time?
Yes. You can belong to both a Personal workspace and one or more Team workspaces simultaneously. Each workspace keeps its own settings, Members, billing, and content — changes in one workspace do not affect the others.
Which workspace do my device recordings go to?
Recordings are stored in the workspace your Plaud device is bound to, not the workspace that is currently active in the App UI. Switching the active workspace in the App does not change where new recordings are saved. To change the recording destination, unbind the device and bind it to the target workspace.
What happens to my content if I leave a Team workspace?
Your content in the Team workspace stays in that workspace, but you will no longer be able to access it after leaving. You retain full access to your Personal workspace and any content stored there. See Leave a workspace for details.
