Skill suites give professionals a specialized, industry-ready assistant.
Skill suites work in Ask Plaud's Work mode, which uses Plaud Credits.
What are Skill suites?
Skill suites are specialized skill suites built for professional scenarios. Instead of a general assistant, you get one trained on the methods and formats of your field. Official suites currently include:
- Legal Assistant: turns meeting transcripts into legal work product, built on a per-matter record.
- Consultant: hypothesis-driven research that decomposes your question, researches it, and delivers.
- Real Estate Assistant: turns broker conversations into deal documents.
- Medical Scribe: turns doctor-patient transcripts into structured clinical notes.
The lineup grows over time; Tools always has the up-to-date list, and each suite's page there lists every skill inside with a full description of what it does and how it works.
For the full workflow (installing a suite, invoking its skills, and reviewing the output), see How to use a Skill Suite: a walkthrough with the Legal suite. The steps apply to every suite.
How is a Skill suite different from asking Plaud Agent?
A Skill suite works like a consultant, not a search engine. Take Consultant: instead of running off and returning a generic report, it starts a dialogue. It breaks your question into smaller ones, asks about your goals and constraints, and refines its research plan as it learns more. The result is a tailored deliverable built on your context, not a one-size-fits-all answer.
How to use a Skill suite?
Skill suites ship as Skill suites in the Skill community:
- Open the side navigation (☰) > Tools > Skills tab. Skill suites appear in the Skill suites section at the top.
- Open a suite to review the Skills inside, then tap Save to add it.
- In a Work conversation, invoke any of its Skills by typing /.
Built for trust
Domain outputs mark what needs review: [pending] for unfinished items, [model knowledge, verify] for claims from the model rather than your materials, and timestamped transcript references. The suites also pause to ask confirmation questions by design; the outputs are drafts for a professional to review, not final documents.
Who can use Skill suites?
Skill suites are built for professionals, but any user can use them.
FAQ about Skill suites
Do I need to work in these industries to use them?
No. Consultant, for example, works as a personal consultant for any user with a business question.
Do Skill suites work on Plaud Web and Plaud Desktop?
Yes. Suites belong to your account. For the Web-side interface, see Plaud Skill suites on the Web.
Can I edit the Skills inside a Skill suite?
No. Skills that come inside a Skill Suite can't be edited or removed individually. Uninstall the whole Skill Suite if you no longer need it.
