Create more than one summary from the same recording, each in a different template. Your original summary stays as it is.

What are multidimensional summaries?
One recording often serves several purposes: a recap for your team, an action item list for yourself, or a brief for a client. Multidimensional summaries let you generate each of these from the same recording. Every new summary is saved as a separate note, so your original summary is never replaced.
How to add a summary in another template?
- Open the recording, then click + New note in the Artifacts row.
- In Create new note, click Summary template, pick a template in Select a template, then click Use this template. You can also change Summary language and AI model.
- Click Create note.
The new note is named after the template and saved in the recording's folder. It appears in the Artifacts row and in Library, not in Home. Repeat with other templates to add more summaries.
How to save an Ask Plaud answer as a note?
You can also keep a useful answer from Ask Plaud next to your recording:
- In an Ask Plaud conversation, find the answer you want to keep.
- Click the save icon below the answer, next to the copy and feedback icons.
- In Select save location, choose a folder, such as the recording's folder, then click Save. To create a new folder first, click New folder.
In Work mode, you can also ask Plaud to summarize a recording in a specific way, for example "Summarize this meeting in bullet points." Plaud Agent picks a template with the official Use Template skill and saves the result as a file in the recording's folder. Work mode uses Plaud Credits. See Official skills: what ships with Plaud Agent — for v4.0.x or later.
Good to know
- Generating a summary with a template on the recording page uses no Plaud Credits or transcription minutes.
- To replace the current summary instead of adding another one, click ⋯ > Regenerate > Summary only. See Re-transcribe on Plaud Web — for v4.0.x or later.
FAQ about multidimensional summaries
Does adding a summary replace my original one?
No. Each summary you add is saved as a separate note, and your original summary stays unchanged.
Where do I find the summaries I've added?
In the Artifacts row on the recording page, and in the recording's folder in Library.
Which templates can I use?
Choose from 10,000+ official and community templates, plus your own. Browse them in Tools > Templates. See Summary templates on Plaud Web — for v4.0.x or later.
