Summary templates generate summaries in the format you need. Choose from 10,000+ official and community templates, with no Plaud Credits used.

How to find and save templates?
- Click Tools in the side navigation and switch to the Templates tab. Browse My templates (including Recently used), filter by category under Explore (Meeting, Call, Medical, Sales…), or search.
- Click a template to preview its description and outline, then click Favorite to save it for later.
How to generate a summary with a template?
Open the recording and choose where the new summary goes:
- Replace the current summary: click ⋯ > Regenerate > Summary only, then pick a template. See Re-transcribe on Plaud Web.
- Keep it and add another summary: click + New note in the Artifacts row, then pick a template. See Multidimensional summaries on Plaud Web.
Using a template uses no Plaud Credits or transcription minutes.
Your own templates
Click + Create template on the Templates tab to create a template with a name and a prompt, use it immediately, and publish it to the community if you want to share. Detailed, structured prompts (decisions, action items, open questions) give better results. Your existing custom templates and collections carry over.

Which template does Plaud use by default?
Automatic summaries use Intelligent generation, which reads the whole transcript and builds a structure that fits what was discussed.
Which language is the summary in?
Summaries follow your summary language setting, which is separate from the transcript language and set to Auto by default.
